🌉 Audi Q7 3.0 Tdi Coolant Temperature Sensor Location
Most drivers don't care what the coolant temperature is, just whether or not it is overheatingI expect soon the gauge will be removed altogether and just the overheat light left with the variable redline tach to indicate when the car is "warmed up". FWIW Q5 3.0T spec is "Opening begins" at 87ºC (189ºF) and fully open at 102ºC (216ºF
Hi all. I am having trouble to locate the Coolant temperature sensor on my 2006 Audi A3 3.2l quattro. Any help/ diy advice will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. It is mounted in the thermostat housing. Look just to the right of the engine (oil filler cap) and down. You should see it.

Audi Q7: Won’t Start Cold – Causes. 1. Battery Capacity Diminished. Far and away the number one reason that your Q7 won’t start in the cold is the battery. A battery has two different ratings, cranking amps and cold cranking amps. Cold cranking amps are the batteries ability to start turn the engine over when it is cold.
Thanks for the clarification. Its odd that ECS Tuning and other part stores list the "grey" 2 pin sensor (lower radiator hose) for along with the green 4 pin sensor (ETC) as parts for the 3.0 That is strange. We have the one green one, and then a low coolant sensor in the coolant tank. Thats it.
Find Reservoir - Locate the coolant / antifreeze reservoir and clean it. 5. Drain Reservoir - Remove coolant / antifreeze from the reservoir. 6. Drain Point - Locate the drain point on the radiator. 7. Drain Coolant - Drain the coolant from the system. 8. Circulate Water - Run engine with distilled water and flush.

Hello the coolant temperature sensor should be located very close to the water outlet from the engine - if you follow the radiator top hose back to the engine and then look in the immediate area on the cylinder head you should find the 2 wire coolant sensor As on other modern diesels the glow plugs are used all the time as well on every start - cold starts are still the most / heaviest duty
The failed temperature sensor is integrated inside the AD Blue Tank and you cannot change this sensor out at the component level. The part number that contains this sensor is 561-198-970. This temp sensor monitors the temperature of the DEF fluid and if it drops below -11 Degrees Fahrenheit then it activates the heater inside this tank.
I scanned the car and got "G83 - signal too high" fault code. So it looks like it's the coolant temperature sensor at radiator outlet. I cleared the fault code and decided to visit my dealership. at the dealership I grabber the replacement sensor (p/n 06a-919-501-a) and drove to work. Then from my workplace back home.
I had my 2015 Audi A6 coolant pump issue repaired under the recall. Now, at 70,000 miles, the water pump is leaking. Audi’s answer was to quote me $1,695 for a replacement.
I had mine replaced on my A4 2.0 TDI CNHA engine which is pretty new engine generation (used on B8.5 and B9) and already up to date with software. So my 2015 audi took 2017 sensor with no problem. You can always try to clean the sensor first and see if this works. I tried it and then replaced the sensor. See the video if you like:
A P0073 code is fairly easy to diagnose on average. Most of the time, it’s because of a damaged or corroded sensor connection. Oftentimes, you only have to look at the sensor connections to see
The powertrain control module (PCM) provides a 5 volt reference and a ground to the sensor. The PCM monitors voltage drop to determine coolant temperature. If the ECT reads less than freezing temp. when engine has been running for more than a few minutes, the PCM determines a circuit fault and sets this code. Or if the PCM determines the sensor
28. May 19, 2019. #1. Finally resolved my low running temperature, the car tended to run around 70 degrees and I felt this wasn't correct but after trawaling many forums etc loads of others report this and many said it's normal. I decided to change the thermostat to be sure and it now runs bang on 90, big difference in warm up time, interior
